Anna Symonds joined The Etheridge Foundation in February 2022 as our first Program Manager. Anna is a plant medicine advocate and activist who speaks regularly about the potential therapeutic benefits of cannabis, psychedelics, and entheogens. She has directly educated thousands of people about cannabis science, including law and policy makers at the local, state, and national levels. Anna holds an MA in Communication and served on the Oregon Cannabis Commission's Research Leadership Subcommittee from 2020-2021. She is also a retired Women's Premier League rugby player, and an Ambassador for the nonprofits Athletes for CARE, the Last Prisoner Project and the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
Seak Smith is a multi-passionate social entrepreneur who loves to connect heart-driven individuals to live their true purpose. She's the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Badass DoGooders which has 150 members across 35 cities. The Campaign Manager for The Love Storm with a goal to end slavery from the inside out. She is currently producing the Freedom Fighters Festival and Award Show set to take place in Phoenix, AZ spring of 2023. Other roles she's very proud of is loving wife to her husband, Brian of 21 years and mother of three incredible humans. Her favorite mantra is "Find people who speaks your language so you don't have to spend a lifetime translating your soul".
Markie Williams is a survivor of domestic violence and human trafficking. She is a fierce victims' advocate working with various non profit organizations. As a competitive body builder, she is a 6x NQ NPC bikini athlete. She's also a Founding Member of Badass DoGooders.
Originally from Brazil, Adriana Fernandes is very passionate about and has deep connections with children. She is a Dance and Autism Movement Therapist. She's also an ABT Certified Ballet Teacher and has developed a dance program for kids with special needs. She's a loving wife and mom. Her other passion is photography and she is a Founding Member of Badass DoGooders.
Iman Wilkerson, Founder of the Run Down, a web-based app for runners to find all things running related to SD and LA. She is an event designer, curating unique experiences for runners to connect to themselves and their communities.
Lonnie Marcus is a Physical Therapist, with a dual degree in health administration and physical therapy. She has a passion for helping people heal from illness and injury by treating the whole body. She became active in the Lyme community after her daughter was diagnosed with tick-borne diseases in 2013. She now devotes much time to learning about Lyme and the related conditions, and sharing that knowledge with social media. In addition, she has served as a member of the HHS Tick-Borne Disease Working Group: Tick Biology, Ecology, Control Subcommittee. Her blog, LymeSci, seeks to help patients understand the science of tick-borne diseases and new developments in research.
